General

We understand that for many of you, this may be your first trip to the Dordogne. We appreciate the time and effort it can take to make travel arrangements. To make planning your trip easy, we have listed the different route options below, but we have also shared some recommended itineraries to take into account where you might be travelling from. We hope this helps your planning.

Although the ceremony will take place at Chateau La Gauterie, we recommend staying in the nearby commune of Ribérac. These directions and suggestions will help you get to Ribérac, although will still be very relevant if you are staying nearby.

Public transportation in the region is very limited, designed to cater for local commuters and school children. The Dordogne is a region best visited and explored by car and so we recommend hiring a vehicle and possibly helping others by travelling in groups.

On Day Three: The Big Day and Day Four: The Day After, we will be arranging transport options to and from Chateau La Gauterie.
